According to Changchun Customs, the import and export of pine nut processing trade outside Jilin province (except the special areas under customs supervision) expanded 81.9 percent year on year to 1.499 billion yuan in the January-July period, accounting for 28.95 percent of the total import and export value of the province, maintaining a good growth trend. Imports jumped 139.4 percent to 931 million yuan, and exports climbed 30.5 percent to 568 million yuan.
Since February, the ports of Mongolia and Russia have resumed customs clearance, the implementation of processing trade contracts signed by pine nut processing trade enterprises at the end of last year have been promoted, the willingness of enterprises to file the processing trade manual has become strong, and 4 new pine nut processing trade enterprises have been established. From January to July, 24 pine nut processing enterprises filed 66 processing trade manuals, with a total import and export value of 2.949 billion yuan.
Influenced by the high yield of pine nuts in Mongolia last year and the country’s convenient export customs clearance policy, the province imported 831 million yuan of Siberian pine nuts from Mongolia in the first seven months, accounting for 89.3 percent of the total import value of pine nut processing trade outside the region in the first half of the year, making Mongolia the main importer of the province in pine nut processing.
To further boost the development of pine nut processing trade, Changchun Customs has continued to deepen the reform of government functions, implemented the requirements of the General Administration of Customs for coordinating epidemic prevention and control and promoting the steady growth of foreign trade, taken benefitting the people and enterprises as the ultimate goal, set up a green channel, exempted the eligible pine nut processing trade enterprises outside the region from collecting the risk deposit of 9.635 million yuan, steadily promoted the pilot reform task of processing trade outside the region, fully released the reform dividend, and supported the high-quality development of pine nut processing trade outside the province.
