The Ministry of Culture and Tourism reminds tourists to strengthen personal protection measures and travel in healthy and safe manner

Recently, there have been COVID-19 outbreaks in many parts of China. In addition, the tourism security situation is severe because of the critical period of flood control. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism reminds tourists to strengthen personal protection measures and travel in a healthy and safe manner.

1, Make reasonable travel arrangements. Learn about the latest epidemic prevention and control policies of the place of departure and destination through authoritative channels, consciously abide by the notices and warnings issued by the local government and relevant departments, understand the opening, flow restriction and ticket reservation measures of scenic spots in advance, and do not go to medium and high-risk areas for COVID-19. In case of cold, fever and other symptoms, stop sightseeing and seek medical treatment in time.

2, Strengthen personal protection measures. Remain vigilant, actively get vaccinated, strictly follow the epidemic prevention and control measures, wear masks, wash hands frequently, avoid gathering, have more ventilation, and wait in line at an interval of 1 meter. Maintain a safe distance while taking public transportation, visiting scenic spots and eating at restaurants. Cover your mouth with your elbow or napkin when coughing or sneezing. Do not spit.

3, Pay attention to safety in flood season. Pay timely attention to the weather at the destination and along the way, especially the early warning information of disastrous weather, and adjust the trip in time according to the weather conditions. Prevent landslides, rock falls, debris flows, flash floods and other safety risks in mountainous areas and river valleys. Avoid going to areas that are not open to tourists, do not swim in waters without safety guarantee, and carefully participate in wading activities such as boating, rafting, snorkeling and deep diving.
